The 2026 Law of the Police Conference was held from June 14-16 at Wayne State University Law School. The event featured presentations from four LEPPC fellows, works in progress from policing scholars, a panel of Detroit-based policing activists and leaders, and a keynote speech by Rachel Moran, Professor and Robins Kaplan Director of Clinical Education, University of St. Thomas School of Law. A final highlight from the conference was a discussion led by Vanessa Miller from FIU College of Law and Terry Allen at USC Gould School of Law about policing in k-12 and on college and university campuses.
